View "A Stroll Through Linwood: Sharing Memories of Dubuque’s Jewish Community" a 12-minute excerpt of a film shot by Alan Garfield; adapted by exhibit designer, Karin Pritikin and edited by Alan Garfield. This film features Temple Beth El's oldest congregant, Frank Farber, now 94, reminiscing about people and places in Dubuque's Jewish community. In the film, Frank takes us on a walk through the Jewish section of Linwood Cemetery in Dubuque. This section of the cemetery was established by Alexander Levi in 1857 and 1863, when he and his wife, Minette, transferred .06 acres to the city of Dubuque to use as a burial ground for residents "of the Jewish Persuasion," conditional on the city's maintaining the land in perpetuity. (Land deed provided by the Jacob Rader Marcus Library & Archives, Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, Cincinatti, Ohio.)
View “Sounds of Judaica” a 20-minute music multimedia presentation concepted, written, produced and performed by musician and exhibit designer, Karin Pritikin and edited by Andy Steil, of M-Studios in Galena, Illinois.
